micRo: Small but Mighty
Meet micRo, our very small, very useful, very affordable and very cute little CNC robot. The idea behind micRo is to provide a starting point for people who are interested in CNC. By building micRo, you will learn the fundamentals of CNC robotics,
while having constructed a “bridge automaton”; a “facilitator”. When you’re done you’ll have a 10″x12″x2.5″ working area. Many people won’t need anything larger.. but if you do you can use micRo to build parts for a larger machine (like RoGR). Read more about micRO –>
RoBLOKS: A Robotics Revolution
High Tech Manufacturing Comes Home
RoBLOKS are Lumenlab’s advanced modular robotic tools that are
open-source, adaptable to any use and are affordable to the public. The Lumenlab
RoBLOKS Gantry Robot (RoGR) is the first RoBLOKS kit, and is truly a
technological revolution in the making. For the first time in history,
high quality robotic manufacturing is available to the public at a
price point that is affordable to nearly all. As a bonus, the RoBLOKS design is modular and easily adapted to many configurations. Imagine the uses for all sorts of projects such as Art and Sculpture, 3d printing, Milling and Machining, Terrain Mapping, Reliefs, RC projects (model airplanes, hexapod robots), so much more… Read More–>
Build Your Own Video Projector
A DIY projector is a projector you build yourself using an LCD panel, lenses and a really bright light. Building a projector is a fun and rewarding project. You get to learn while you build and the end result is an 8 foot diagonal projection. This is a great project for schools or father/son collaboration. Lumenlab has been the web’s largest DIY projector resource since 2003. Visit our DIY Projector homepage to get an overview then take a look at the forums where you’ll find support and logs of peoples projects. The Lumenlab store has all of the lenses and lighting you’ll need to complete the projector.
