Here are instructions for replacing the ballast in an eVo. This assumes you have received a replacement from Lumenlab. Removing the ballast: 1. Remove the lamp. Instructions can be found in the eVo manual under "Replacing the lamp" 2. Open the case. Instructions can be found at Opening the case 3. Remove the 2 screws of the Power Entry Module (where the power cable is plugged in). Note that one is a nut/bolt and the nut needs to be held. The module should now pop outwards. 4. Under the wires from the power entry, there is a screw holding the ballast in place. Remove it. 5. On the other end of the ballast (towards the front of the eVo), there is another screw. Remove it. 6. The ballast is now loose. Carefully remove it from its location. You may need to help the wires out slightly. One of the wires will be attached to the power board (this is either on the left or at the front). If your power board is on the rear left, unplug the cable from the power board. If instead it runs under the case and is not removable, solder removal may be required, please contact product support. Connecting the new ballast: 1. Connect the ballast power cable (the one with a connector) to the power board. Fit the ballast in the original location, and fit the power wire back in as it was originally. 2. Ensure that the 2 lamp wires are inside the lamp area (so they are accessible for inserting the lamp). 3. Attach the ballast using the 2 original screws. 4. Insert the power module back in using the 2 original screws. 5. Put the case cover back on. 6. Insert the lamp again.
