EDIT::::::::: may 7th 2006 JUMP TO MAY 7th 2006, for revised VERTICAL

Do not follow this upside down build,, the salts from lamp get in way of light to LCD

Ok finally after setting up new place, whew 3 month excersie, packing moving setup..

finally got started yesterday on whole new design of a projector,
near ceiling mounted version, upside down with all the heat at the topside of PJ, lens low side..

seems natural to me, started midday yesterday,, housing all built with heat shield and panel and fresnels mounted,, now for the lightgated light engine,, build on the fly so to speak, with a coarse idea in mind,, but all came together very well, in fact better than I expected..

I have all the pics in camera of stages,, will down load them tomorrow..

EDIT, and ohhh I have decided to retain my unique trippy based "polar bear" too,,, i quite like how well it works ,,, so much easier after murdering a lappy and 17" benq,, thanx to meyer2 and ozstang for sending me their offcuts from their new polarizer sheets, i was able to experiement with them,, even did a water soak to use just pure "polar bear material" which has suffered no ill effects after 5 months of usage and heat,,,, things are much hotter at the trippy end of things,,, concentrated image at that point,,, and PS for mark,,, no grain effect whatso ever either....

Hmmm after thinking here,, looking at it reminds me of a Borg Cube,,, heheheheh you will be assimlated into the matrix !!!!!,,, you'll understand what I mean when pics are up...

This is the most boring signature on Lumenlab Earth in the universe In the theoretically known 11 dimensions.
Hmmm . . . now it's an interesting signature!?!?!

So far it looks great Clive.
As to the fresnels I tried every possible angle, shift, tilt and still no joy. The only thing I didn’t do was rotate them 90 degrees. When you get a chance try them with no LCD just the arc, Seems strange that the new fresnels I got worked perfectly but those ones didn’t.

Folded,, the height of the unit is only about 670 mm tall but 430 mm wide 410 deep,, could have reduced this,, but decided on have air channels full width,, all will explained,, a cure for light leaks ,,, in essence double chambered housing,,, should improve overall cooling considerably,,, gezz past experience is usefull,,, hhehhehehe

Hey Dazz as the saying we will see how she fires up,,,

and PS remember the split config,, with trippy polar and the sides glowies,,, proved'"""" gone with wider fresnels,,, used the 330 400x400 as a drop in test before stripdown.... whew took a long time to finally settle that one.....

Leave it to you Elken to come up with something totally original. Aside from waiting on your final build and some screenies I'm really interested in is how even your projection will be being that your arc will be curving up in the opposite direction.

Hi Sim,,, I am making a universal light gated engine, which will be a module.,, with a lightgate for both horz relative to panel, and one for perp, to panel,,,

but in both cases, natural curve of arc will favoured towards reflector.. away from optics..
