So maybe this has been answered before and someone could direct me to the answer.

Here's what I'm thinking... I know that lcd's used in laptops have far higher resolution for the size.

17” WUXGA (1920x1200) widescreen replacement displays can be found on ebay for cheap but they are just the screen. How do you power a lcd from a laptop?

Can you hook a laptop LCD to the guts of external LCD and make it work?

How can I use a laptop screen in a DIY projector?
Not that I'm going to run out and break the law, but jail is really a breeding ground for engineers.
