Space Between Fresnels And Lcd

Hey everyone..

Just a quick question.

in a split setup im assuming that the spaces between the collminator fresnel, the lcd and the collector fresnel have no real affect on the final result as the light is travelling in parallel. just as long as the focal points are all ok and as long as the enclosure can accommodate for these lengths.

I think you're right for the most part. Keep in mind that the distance from the field to the LCD affects how much the LCD is magnified (and effects how far away and how big the LCD looks to the triplet). Also, you probably shouldn't go overboard... 2 inches would probably be too far.

Build adjustable and see for yourself what the result of the distance changes are.
