I have watched a few movies with my new toy and I am pleasantly surprised how well it looks. A huge thank you to Arizona Video. I was trying to get a 6x9 precon to work with a 220 fresnel. My box was just about 2" too small for using a 330. Here is the box.Posted Image
Modeled off of testcorp Pro-V. Another Thanks to Bruce. Your design got me WAF.
As it stands right now I am using.

30.5x18 16.75 deep at top,18.75 deep at the bottom. At center about 19.75 dp(outside dimensions). I got tired of picking it up to put it out of harms way every night.

My screen arived Friday. so I have a full 133" diag. shot to show off. I have browning in the coeners still and a few more minor tweeks. But I am very pleased with results so far. I can't even imagine how well a1080p source would look. I am just using my regular dvd player right now.

Your first screens look great. What is the final setup? Which lamp?

Arran... That is pretty much how it looks. Might be a bit brighter in person.
AV... that is the LL bulb I have in it now. 220 fres with 6x9 precon. I played with the color settings a bit to tone the blue and green down.
Fulcrum theat is the Hi-Power. To be honest I have a shot of the screen halfway down with a sheet behind. Brightness is very close between the 2. however colors are better on the Hi-Power.

So you got the 220mm rear Fresnel and the Altman 6x9 to cover or did you pull the condenser?

It looks like the lamp is really close to the condenser, how close is the lamp shell from the condenser?

This is fairly important because others have not been able to get a T15 lamp and a 6x9 220 lamp to cover a WUXGA.

Sorry I didn't go into detail earlier. That was just my quick read while I have my coffee. I am using pro reflector about .04 off the t15 LL lamp. The lamp is about .125 from the pre-con. My 220 fres. is about 6" from the convex surface of the 6x9 altman. My 550 fres. is about 2" from my 220 fres. Lcd is about .75" from the 550 fres.

I will be opening her up in a few days and will give more accurate dimensions.

AV I have a shot of my screen with lcd off so you can see what I'm getting. (will post after work) In other news. Screen has been mounted 5 days or so. I forgot to put it up before bed and My little beasties put a couple nasty scratches in it. In a battle to get good even placement of my mirror after mounting my controller boards I seem to have lost some of the brightness. But could just be the mass amount of dust that is getting in there.

The dark spot looks like pressure marks on the LCD. Can you loosen the mounting bolts some?

When you first start the PJ you can look into the triplet and see the whole LCD you might be able to see what is making the spots. Don't look too long.

My lcd is just sitting in a tray. Any pressure on it is only its own weight. If I don't go out fishing tonight I'm going to move the precon-light assembly forward about an 1/8" or so and see what happens. Wish I could have made it adjustable from the outside without taking it apart. But the boy takes after me and takes everything apart.

Well done! its cool to see what people do with my design. check for proper alignment of your field fresnel, when you tilt it for keystone you also offset the center towards the back so you may need to move the field forward slightly to correct this. this is why you may have the brown tinting at the corners. I have made major upgrades to the Pro-V model for outside adjustment of the bulb. I have also designed an intake chute so it will hold a filter or this design sucks in alot of dust. I also incorporated the easy off lid to the bottom front panel so you can get in without lifting it on a table to slide off the front.

Man does it ever get dusty. I am still playing with things, so I haven't put the top front part of my cover on yet. I'm still debating how I want to do the air-inlet. Right now I just put a towel across the air-inlet. The fans hold it up in place. I don't have keystone adjustmant. I think it worked out to about .5 degree difference from center of triplet to center of screen. It is slightly angled. But I just put the edges off the screen. I may try and remove the condencer fresnel (trying to just use my pre-con and field fres.) The way I see it it shouldn't be needed. I'll update what I come up with tomorrow.

Well I just got a perfect image of the bulb on my screen when I tried it without the colminating fresnel. I moved the pre-con/light assembly closer to the lcd as well as cut down the distance between the 2 fresnels. Brown spot looked much worse. I am going to increase the distance between lcd and light assembly and see if I can get rid of them. On a side note. I think my colminating fresnel is getting a bit warm. I can see a round pattern in the center of it.

Did you get the spots out of the corners? Is everything painted in the light path? Almost looks like a frame shadow. I had somthing like that in my first build.

Thanks for the attaboy on my PJ. It is still a work in progress.

I pushed light assy. up and the brown spots got much bigger. I brought it back down about 3/16" lower than I had it originally and it has improved. My frames are painted black . It apeared to be on my lcd (looking at it while light was on) I am going to back off the light set-up another 1/4" or so tomorrow night. I had to watch Apocolypto tonight so no working on PJ. I have it just running right now. It was starting immediately after turning it on. But playing with it turning it on and off has made it start harder. I'll try and get on this tomorrow. Not sure if I'm on the right track but it seems to like it. Besides What am I supposed to do when it's done. I want to milk it out a little.
