Hello,

I just received my magnetic ballast for the 150 W Phillips ceramic bulb. Its fine and all, but its damn heavy. Is there an electric ballast that will work with this bulb that might be lighter ?

Thanks
Christopher.

I believe there were some mentioned, though never tried. The word was that the electronic couldn't deliver enough power for the lamp. Though it's heavy, I'm fine with my magnetic ballast. Works great, and the weight isn't an issue once the projector is in place. Check out the Projector design area. I believe there was a post there somewhere about the electronic ballasts.

EDIT: I found the discussion. Look through this to see what has been said

10.6" No HTPC projector project has started.
Status: MST controller is installed. Panel strip finished.
Oh the joy of HD! Now on to forever tweaking!
Read about in my 10.6" PLOG
