Hello,
For those who know Inventor, I'm trying to make the the model below. It's a 9ft dia sphere with 8" ports in the soccer ball configuration. It will have a total of 60 ports (minus the huge ports on the sides). I built a small bukyball using hexagons and pentagons to show the shape, but now how do i translate that to my sphere?

If anyone has any clue on how to go about doing this, please I'm lost right now

Yeah I looked at all of those. The hard part it getting it into AutoCAD Inventor. I have everything from polar cords, to X,Y,Z points. I have it all, I just dont know how to get it into inventor.

(PS. it kinda is, Nuclear Fusion (mini bomb that will power you home one day), thats all I can say)

(apologies for not answering your question. Getting the info into POVray or 3dsmax or lightwave is easy... but I cant say I know inventor)

as soon as I saw that 'fusor' popped into my head.

Also philo t farnsworth.

Am I looking at a test model produced by the navy? I know they are contemplating long term funding of fusor research to power their warships. They are the only ones I can think of who would have the know-how, motivation, and $ to sink into that project at the moment

If you check the properties of the image, you'll be able to see that it comes from http://www.nuvacuum.com/home.html.

Before I scare too many people, it's not really a bomb. It's going to be used as R&D for nuclear fusion. It will produce energy, without going "BOOM" :ohnoes:

But back to the question..... anyone have a clue how to do this?

Can you show a picture of what you do have and perhaps further describe what you wish your end result to be?
