I wasn't sure where to post this but has anyone tried the ox pro 4 it can be found here http://www.bestavsto...xproseries4.htm it claims to have 1024 by 768 native resolution and 700:1 contrast ratio and how would this compare to a favi rio v3.

those are much worse the the favi models because best av store lies about their specs on this page. that projector has a true resolution of 640 by 480 (standard def) not the resolution they say it is. you can pick these up for 200 dollars on ebay if you still interested but favi models are better for quality and slightly higher resolution and as we all know making your own is the best if you want the highest specs. ;)

Edit by Lustra - Jan 8, 2010: I was informed by the manufacturer that the true resolution is 1024x768.

I don't see this as being any better or worse than the LL eVo projector, or the Favi that LL is selling now.

From the Google search I did, most of the "reviews" I've read seem to have been written by the same person. Regardless of what the actual native resolution is, I wouldn't buy from the company based on misleading advertising. Also, the fact that I can't find any real reviews for the projector would turn me away from this projector.

Here are a few of threads to read:

From what I read, the actual resolution is 800 x 600 (SVGA). That hasn't been confirmed by the vendors website, it's just what others are saying.
In contrast, the LL eVo had a resolution of 800 x 480 (WVGA).

The native resolution for the Favi Entertainment Rio HD V3 is also 800 x 600. I don't know what is up with the LL store. They used to list the Favi for sale, but it seems the whole projector parts lineup has been taken away.

by all means have a go at it. i wouldn't recommend dhgate though, there return/refund policy is very unforgiving. if it works well and has that true resolution then count me in! :D

This is the video for the native XGA projector. It's from the same guy. If ou look at his history, he has sold these projectors. Also, if you search the title in ebay, the XGA projector will pop up

I have emailed about 10 people who bought the projector and have not got a response? I even emailed the ebay seller and they didn't email back? I am not sure about this projector looks like a dead on clone to the favi rio hd? I know it claims 1024x768 native but the rio's are 640x480 native and 800x600 native but have a hdtv chip that makes it look alot beter so I am wondering if this is the same but the say its 1024x768 native? I just want to see some pics in action and more video? I mean if its true xga native then this would be a great buy finally a projector getting close to a diy projector..

I got the ox pro 4 friday and was not impressed. I have a Favi Rio and they look the same no diffrence.. I already contacted the seller and I am getting back my money 349.00. Its not bad for somebody who doesn't care about true hdtv but this projector is nowhere hdtv i think the 1024x768 native is a big fat lie trust me the favi is true 800x600 and looks better in hdtv.. I would not buy you could try the china projector but I will not buy another till i know the case is bigger for a 7" lcd I know the china projector states its a 7" lcd??

Good Luck!!
