Hi I'm a new member from Adelaide Australia
I'd like to make contact with fellow Australian members
(if located in Adelaide would be a bonus) with the view of exchanging
sources of components and viewing working set ups if possible

Thanks Steve

I am also from Adelaide. Suburb Christie Downs. I will be buying the guide very soon.

I just got to wait for LCD's to come down in price a bit more.

Best place to find others from Australia is probably in the Global DIY Projector Community forum :)

I've been stumbling about the web researching fresnel lenses and end up buying a BOOK on projector construction and am looking forward to the building process. I'm from Brisbane Qld, and my primary reason for needing a 100" screen is flight simulation. My kids will freak out when they see what it can do with movies and videos.

I look forward to swapping stories, location and sources for materials to complete the projector. If I can create such an animal half as good as the stuff seen on this forum, then I will be a very happy little Vegemite indeed.

I have just downloaded and printed the manual and am about to read it for the first time. By the way fellas, I sent my better half out to deposit the money into St George and before she returned I had the email with the location of the manual for download. You can't get any quicker than that.

I already have an order in for the Projector lens and the two fresnels. Gotta pay the money yet though, but with the speed of the last transaction I feel safe in the knowledge that I will get the goods delivered. That's why I bought the manual first. I can afford to drop $30AUD but now I am confident that my hard earned dollars won't go astray. You gotta be careful out there eh?

Catch you all later. Good to meet you and look forward to the next few months getting this project off the ground.
