Hello,

I see allot of nice projectors here but most of the people i saw on some dutch forums use a condensor but here almost nobody uses it, why is that ?

Well i'm planning to make a 15" projector with a Benq FP557s v2
I have made the following drawning and want to be sure its correct (specs of components are below):
(25.4mm = 1")

Now i have some more questions
If i use a condensor will the focal length of the first fresnel start from the lamp or from the condensor?
And how can i calculate where the UV glass has to be because its only 125x217?

Lens: Varifocale 310-360mm
UV Glass: 125 x 217 x 4mm
Fresnels: 310 x 310 x 4mm, Focal = 214/326mm
LCD: 15"
Reflector: D=64mm
Condensor: D=76.4mm
Lamp: 400w osram

Thanks!

a dual condensors make a lot of sense.
you need to know the focul length of your condensor so that you can make a first guess. You then need to move it closer than that so the angle is accepted by the second condensor fresnel.
I would mock it up to get the right distance if I were you.

Cheers,

You need to get that UV filter closer to your rear lens. Or, not. It's just my opinion, it should work fine.
