After a few weeks of working on the projector I finally have something to show for it. These pics are the finished (well, it's never really finished) results.

Items used:

CMV 522
Lumen Lab light kit
Lumen Lab fresnel kit
Lumen Lab blackout cloth
a pile of stuff from Home Depot
Norpro bowl (butchered by tin snips)
Slusher Case (due to lack of tools and living in an apartment, I broke down and had Slusher make a box for me. Way better than I would have ever done)
25 ft VGA cable
Freebie PIII 800

The screen frame was a few 1 x 4's with the standard Lumen Lab blackout cloth strecthed over. Diagonal is 123.5". The television in front of the screen is a 27".

If anyone has some tips on how to take pics in the dark it would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to get the pics to look bright enough or vivid enough. I am using a Fuji Finepix A230 3 Megapixel if it helps, but I imagine it will be standard settings that need to be adjusted.

On my Canon Powershot A75 I had to put it in night mode without flash to get a brighter pic. Perhaps your camera has a night mode.

If you can set your shutter speed, set it to open for 1 second.

At what aperture setting? small, or large? I've experimented with this too, and when I increase the shutter speed, I usually get over exposure. The best picture I have been able to get is pictures without a lot of "brightness" to them, as they tend to be washed out.
my spelling sux... deal with it. my PLOG

I can increase my shutter speed to 1/2 second but it requires the flash to go off. I think it is some kind of night picture with people setting. I guess I can just cover the flash with duct tape and see if that works.

Thanks

I hope you didn't actually pay for that atrocious excuse for a sci-fi movie. Of all the Phillip K. Dick novel-based movies, Paycheck was by far the worst. John Woo needs to stop making movies, badly.
