Hello,
after watching Brainchilds pictures i had to start emediatly :P .
Im from germany so my english is pretty bad.
I´ve started 2weeks ago and bought everything necessary after surfing 2days and nights. When my Lenses are here i can put everything together.
This is a modified Light from a Theatre. Got to get cleaned. It got a 400w Hqi (250w would be enough too) ,a spherical reflector and i could keep it very quiet. Ballast etc are already build in by me.

Hey Joe, did you know they still make a fixture that uses that type of lens for theater use. We use them here in town at the theater I do the lighting for.

The blacks on your projection would grey-out, and your white's would be tooo bright ;)

Yea but from pictures hard to see how it would compare to the 400w we use, but might as well try it, its a start and you can alwayz improve on it.

I agree, try it. I don't think it will be too bright, but if it was, that's what you would see.

Probable not because the machine was made for a sertain bulb wattage, Like the Ballast I use is a M59 and only certain bulbs will work. but you can check to see, but I would just try it 1st, looks like it will work for ya from what i seen.

Oh, and also check the heat comming out, may need tempered glass infront of it, may not be bad idea to do it anyway, like the guide shows.

Actually i do like the guide shows.
But without tempered glas this little different one construction would really destroy the colours of my display during longer period. I ordered coated tempered glass to filter infraredlight.
Got to check if the bulbchange would work to my ballast.

Make sure the Coated tempered glass is clear sometimes it has a greenish tent, and could throw your colors off.

You're in Germany, right? Shipping from the US to Europe can take quite a while thanks to customs, etc. Be patient... ;)
