Warning! Make sure your eVo has cooled down before following these steps.
You’ll need the following tools:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Small flat-head screwdriver (optional, helps opening the case)
The following instructions will demonstrate how to re-seat the plugs for the 4 LCD cooling fans.
- Turn off power and un-plug from mains.
- Above the power entry module, gently peel off the LUMENLAB label.
- This will leave 2 screws uncovered - undo them.
- On the top of the unit, where the top case meets the front, gently place a flat-head screwdriver in the very center and pry it up slightly.
- The top of the case should now slide towards the back of the unit.
- There are small cables attached, do not pull the top away too fast! Unplug the keypad at the top (note where it was attached), lay the top of the case next to the base so the inputs can remain attached.
- On the front-most board (facing up), on the front right, look for the 2 front-most plugs. Pull one out, then plug it back in. Then do the same for the other.
- On the same board, on the rear left, look for 2 plugs that have red/black cables (the rest are white). Pull one out, then plug it back in. Then do the same for the other.
- Replace the top case, remembering to plug the keypad socket back in. Secure the 2 screws and place the sticker back over them.
